Browser-based upscaling uses the HTML5 Canvas API to draw the image at a larger size with bicubic interpolation smoothing. This is not AI super-resolution — it interpolates existing pixels, so fine details cannot be magically created.

What is the maximum upscale factor?

You can upscale by 2x, 3x, or 4x presets, or enter custom width and height values up to 8192 pixels.

Does upscaling reduce image quality?

Upscaling enlarges the pixel grid and fills in gaps with interpolated color values. The image will appear larger but sharpness and detail are limited by the original resolution. Very large upscales will look blurry.
